350z suspension on a g

I've been searching and I just want to confirm before I order...I'm looking into ordering some H&R or TIEN Springs and I've read that if you buy them for the 350z but put them on your G35 it will lower it an extra 1/2 "

Is there truth to that? Also is it direct bolt on?

Also if I order for a 350z and my g is a 2006 what year g do I order for? Same year?

Sorry but I'm a total noob to the g world.

Yes that is true. And it is direct bolt on. But you also want to consider getting after market shocks as well... And yes, order them for the same year and you're all set!

Awesome...are shocks a must? Car only has 35k miles on it...it's an 06

M00CHER 08-06-2012 12:44 AM

They aren't a must right now. But they will wear a lot quicker with the lowering springs...

I installed Z S-techs with ~50k on the car and my shocks were absolutely toasted with 85k.

Might as well change it all at once and top it off with some sway bars.

Lol!

I had 350z's Pro-Kit on a G coupe for 25k and didn't have any problems with the shocks.

Thank you guys for the input. I'll look into shocks but not sure if I'm gonna do them just yet, I will be doing them though ...so 2006 z suspension and I'll be good...now deciding between h&r or s techs ...seem to be the 2 lowest drops

I know the 350z's Pro-kit is not on your options but I definitely recommend it. The ride is really close to factory and it lowered the car close to 2 inches front and rear. here is a pic when I had it.

I think you just sold me one the Eibach pro kit lol. Looks perfect ...Any rubbing issues?

Not at all. I was running 25mm spacers on all 4 corners and I did not had rolled fenders. You will need a rear camber kit tho.

Dark Pony 08-06-2012 07:16 PM

If I got the rear camber would I be able to get away with not having to roll fenders or put spacers on?

antodiaz 08-06-2012 07:20 PM

I never rolled my fenders and I had 25mm (1 inch) spacers. I was also running factory 19 tires. Absolutely no rubbing even before installing the camber kit.

Dark Pony 08-06-2012 07:21 PM

I'm loving the pro kit I'm just wondering if the s techs might be a little simpler...I'm hoping to just put on just the shocks for now and not need a camber kit, spacers, etc.
