Stoptech BBK 14.1 Fitment for OEM 18's wheel
Does anyone know if the 14.1 full brake BBK system will fit in my OEM 18's wheels? Plz help me here
|
As I replied in the last thread you started on this, they will not fit. They won't fit no matter how many times you ask ;-)
|
Have you tried it though ? because stop tech guys said it should fit somehow? and some ppl are telling they fit? i am confused.
|
Then i am guessing 13 will fit for sure right? front and rear the BBK set..
|
it will fits.i did that on my car.but the gap between the brake caliper and the spinning wheel is about .060" of an inch.that's about the thickness of a stick of gum.and after installation the ABS light came on due to the fact that the abs sensor distance need to be ajust.i don't know where you live but if you're in socal, take it to Street Image in Baldwin Park.they did mine and know all about it.

some ppl tell me they clear and some ppl say they don't... hmm i am confused...... lol plz help =( has anyone try that?
i have 2004 5-at with 18's OEM rims |
jesus BOMB..stop asking and read.in the previous post just above your last one i typed
I DID THAT ON MY CAR |
Tinman is right, Bomb. In absolute terms, it will fit without rubbing. Eagle1 said that there is only ~1 mm of clearance though where you would want a minimum of 3mm or so.
Even though it doesn't rub when it's sitting in the garage, I think the question you have to ask yourself is whether you're willing to take that chance when you might be driving a little on the hard side. Even though the brakes and wheels are mounted to the same assembly, the metal is still capable of flexing. If it flexes too much... |
get wheel spacers then or invest in some 18's with a +23 offset (or around their)
|
I see I see... I think you need min of 2mm for clearance.. I don't think I can get the new rims but I will try using spacers
|
Since i am big noooob can anyone tell me briefly how spacer work? spacer won't change any look of my rims or anything right?
