Tips on removing Rear Radius Rod?

2 Attachment(s)
I'm replacing all of my suspension bushings and am at a standstill on the rear radius rod in my sedan's rear suspension. The head of the bolt is largely obscured by the wheelwell sheetmetal. I have 3 options on removing the bolt:

- Use open end wrench and cheater bar (risk rounding over bolt and hating life)
- Buy a 17mm shallow socket, lock it on a swivel socket, and impact it off (probably the best way)
- Drop rear subframe and use breaker bar (adds 5-6 hours of time and hating life again)

What approach have you used and how did it work for you?

i would use a breaker bar and find a way to make it work...jack the car up higher, whatever. If there is a bunch of rust then I'd use PB blaster first..let it sit for 10 min.

A penetrator like this will make a world a difference. I second breaker bar.

There wasn't any rust on it, it was just at a really awkward angle and it wasn't possible to get a socket on it. I still put PB breaker on it everyday for a few days to break it up.

I ended up bending the sheetmetal in the wheelwell slightly, popped on a 17mm universal, and impacted it off. New Nismo bushing is in and good to go.
