Upgrade 2005 to brembos?

Will the Brembo's off a 2003/4 fit a 2005? No other replacements besides the calipers/rotors.

I guess I will see when they come...

hey i heard servicing the brembos cost a grip. maybe you should stick to your stock ones.

Not worth the money and time.

The only advantage to doing this is looks. The new brakes stop as well or better and don't cost as much to repair. Mine have had ZERO dust so far. I was disapointed when the new "sport" models didn't have them, but now I don't mind.

Perhaps for the street, but I loathe my brakes right now. Ridiculous for a car this heavy.

He's referring to tracking the car....that is when you really find out the difference

My 05 brakes held pretty well at blackhawk. However, at times I could smell them and the heat was always a concern. I had a couple near fades and wanted to get a better brake but keep the cost down. On a side note, I really like the look of the gold Brembo's :)

What pads should I get for the track? Street? What about track rotors?

Balzz 07-17-2005 12:47 PM

I've been talking to Nick from Ntech and I'm getting a set of pads he recommends for my next track day at Mosport. I've run Porterfield R4S pads, but they just don't hold up well to a track like that. Most vendors don't have listings for '05 yet but we use the same pad shape as the 03-04 M45 in front (thanks to O-man for discovering this) and 03-04 non-Brembo G35 pads in the rear.
