Complete Brake Upgrade Package Offered by RacingBrake

RacingBrake is offering G35driver.com members an exclusive discount on our stock replacement rotors and brake pads for 03-08 G35's (non-Brembo, non-Sport).

These rotors are EDP (Electro-Deposition Paint) coated which protects the rotor against corrosion and rust. All of our rotors are 100% dynamically balanced and identified with the Company name (TPM), Part Number, Min THK, and engraved direction arrow (for error proof installation) casted into each rotor. The rotors also have Reinforced Rib, this patented design is added to improve the strength of the rotor based on our exclusive design criteria of “Torque Ratio”. The result is that our rotors don’t have the same problem of warping like OE which others copy, and the auto enthusiasts love our rotors because the replacements end with our better design for a stronger and cooler rotor (ribs also increase air circulation).

Front Rotor:

Curved Vanes (G35 02-04):
Pump more air and keep disc cooler than straight vanes, however the curved vane discs are “directional” meaning left and right discs are different and requires two sets of tooling instead of just one set in the case of straight vanes.

To help the community understand the importance of how a rotor is designed, and what we are all about, please read the articles we have posted on our website:

Welcome aboard G35Driver. :hello:

I'm really happy to have Racing Brake on here as a vendor.
I've used their rotors previously on my 04 G35 and absolutely LOVED them. :JAMIN:

Their rotors definitely ran cooler under HPDE type track conditions.
They stood up well & looked great!

They have some great Brembo fitment 2 piece rotors;
& .....I look forward to future products like 2pc Akebono rotors

Yes, Lots of love for G37S. Here is a link to our development plan for G35 upgrade/G37:

We need a G37S owner lives by Fullerton, CA can help us with his car for brake measurements.

I guess I'll say it here also. I hope you guys choose to offer the non-brembo 12.6" 05-08) front rotors as they would apply to alot of oem applications such as the Z, maxima and altima owners.

Yes, we agree, as discussed in RB forums, this rotor (Our P/N 9161 -320x28mm) fits a lot of applications: Some customers also asked for two piece rotors and we found out it's very close to our P/N 90371/2 for 350Z 03-08 and G35 03-04 w/Brembo calipers that is 324x30mm which we already have two piece rotors available.

To verify their interchangeability or required modification, we would need to test fit this 90371/1 rotor for 9161 cars. (90371/2 are curved vanes while 9161 is a straight vane.) We are raising our hand again for help.

We are committed to offering a complete brake upgrade option for G35/G37 drivers and would make sure the upgrade will meet your expectation for performance improvement, be affordable and yet stay within stock integrity.

Just be aware that brakes for G35/G37 are extremely confusing although we tracked them down very closely. So please be careful in making selections, if you are not so sure on your choice let us know and we will do our best to help, and if you find any errors on our web listing we like to be corrected.

Thanks

Hmm 2 mm radius difference and thicker by 1mm on each side. I'll have to take a close look at my front brakes to see if there is enough clearance to slip the brembo rotors in there

RacingBrake 08-11-2009 02:13 PM

Just know that it must be test fitted with a new set of pad. Anyone interested in upgrading to two piece rotors and is capable of doing such a test can PM us for an unbelieveable special deal. If they don't fit we jsut take them back.

Jeff92se 08-11-2009 04:03 PM

Thanks for the pm. Why don't I take a look before taking you up on it? BTW, can the outer rotors be turned and can the outer diameter be machined to a smaller diameter?

WhosUrBuddiee 08-11-2009 04:09 PM

Any plans for 2 piece rotors for the G37?

Ah no, I meant '08 G35S guys. We have the 13" rotors that are also on the G37 Journey

We have decided to make a new disc to match the OE rotor size in diameter (320mm) and thickness (28mm). This would assure perfect fit.

Dimension (diameter and thickness) can be modified to smaller, but should be done at our factory shop for the tight tolerance and run out instead at aftermarket brake shop.

We later found out other than the dimension difference, the pad height is not the same either, while our rotor ring surface (where pad sweeps), is cut to fit the pad height (rest of area is coated with EDP to prevent rusting), so a new disc is designed, and a pre-order sales price will be offered.
