The beauty of the Z1 Motorsports 14" Akebono brake kit, as opposed to much more expensive aftermarket brake kits, lies in the fact that it uses OEM Nissan/Infiniti parts. This means there will not be the added headache associated with extended wait periods on expensive replacement parts. Almost all of the parts found in the Z1 Motorsports Akebono Kits can be purchased from any local area Nissan or Infiniti Dealer any where in the country! Paired with the Z1 Stainless Steel Brake Lines, your Z will have one of the ultimate brake upgrades on the market. For 350z & G35 owners who are planning on eventually Powder Coating their Brake Calipers, the standard price includes the Infiniti G37 Sport Calipers. Also produced by Akebono, these are a cheaper alternative to the NISSAN branded calipers which are available for an additional cost. You must either trim or remove the dust shields behind the brake rotor in order to allow for the proper clearance of the larger 14" brake rotors and calipers. I had a close encounter with a deer so I got to test out the Akebono brakes. Wow, these things have some STOPPING POWER compared to my stock brakes.
