Nickel and dimed at the end of the lease? What's your experience?
 

I just leased a new G35S 6MT for 36 months. I am wondering whether or not I should spend $500-600 installing a clear bra on a car that I will be returning in 36 months.

For the people who have returned their G's at the end of leases, does Nissan-Infiniti LTD nickel and dime you to death on little chips and scratches that you get on the bumper? If yes, how much did you have to pay Nissan-Infiniti for those pesky little chips and scratches?

When I returned my Audi TT in 2005, they were pretty good about not ripping me off on those little things. Of course I did lease another Audi from them. Your comments with your experience with Nissan-Infiniti would be deeply appreciated. If it's going to be costly, I might as well spend the $500 in a clear bra.

the lease inspections are done by an independantly contracted company, not by a nissan/infiniti employee.

i actually had a few scratches on my car, the trunk tray was broken, and they didn't charge me a dime.
