2007 G35 IP 6mt : Purchased

Just to give you guys an idea..

Friend just purchased a 2007 6mt IP Coupe with only 9k miles for...

$20,000 excluding taxes..

As I said before.. Dealers are selling used cars at private party prices. This one was about $1k under private party price...

KBB.com /// NADA.com

I'm buying mine in the summer .. :driving:

I'm sorry but that doesn't sound right. Even with the fairly steep depreciation values of our cars a 2007 with only 9k miles should net at least 26,000 27,000. Was the car salvaged? Come with warranty? Purchased at an Infiniti dealership? Please someone correct me if I'm wrong..

^^^ edit nevermind.. just went to KBB.com and put everything in and wow I can't believe the value of our cars down that much.. Damn I cringe at how much i paid for my car... I will never over pay for a car in the future again!!

One of our stops while looking for our car was at a local Volvo dealership. They had a load 2008 S80T with a sticker price of $51,000+. It only had 10,000 miles on it and they were wanting to sell for $34,000.

It is truly a buyers market if in fact you want buy right now. The one downside is the banks are not helping right now with the interest rates. The feds have actually cute the rates but the banks are not passing it along. They are keeping all for themselves, and it shows. Infiniti was one of the only ones offering 0.0% or 0.9% while the others are at 6.0-7.0%

Dude....if I only waited....

That does not sound right at all...what options are on the car? I bought my 07 AT with 15K on it with every option but RWS for $24,700 in Nov.

Hey,
What area are you in? I'm looking for a coupe right now and I don't see those kinda prices anywhere in the tri-state area.

If you can tell me what dealership he got his deal from I'd appreciate it.

New York Dealership

Ive been watching G35's on the market now for like 3 months. I have noticed that most people dont realize that their cars have declined so much in value since the economy has tumbled-hence the higher prices you may be seeing. I use autotrader and have noticed that emailing those that have had their cars on the market for a while will go down on prices much more so than new listings. People havent realized the blue book values have dropped. Most 06 G35's fully loaded with less than 30k miles range from 21-24k. Once those cars are sitting on the lot for a while, their advertised prises will drop. However, its easy enough to offer 1-2k under that advertised price and get the car you are looking for.

that's a disgusting deal!

why can't california have deals like that?!?!? mannnnnn

twin001 01-26-2009 09:58 PM

I keep beating myself for not waiting to buy one...but if I waited until now to buy one then I probably wouldn't buy one, I'd save my money instead.

Hmm...NY dealership...what I noticed when I was looking is that a lot of NY "dealerships" would offer very low prices but you had to agree to finance through them and when you read through all the small print it was not as good of a deal as you thought...
