Do you think it is worth upgrading to g37x/335i from g35x?

Hello gentlemen,

While I know that there are no right answers to this,
I just wanted to get some expert opinions on it.

I drive a black 2007 G35x with 90k miles, tech and navi package.
While it has been a great car for 2 years, I think it is getting a bit old.
That doesn't mean I need to get a new car, I am still deciding if I should keep it.

Most of the dealers will take my car for 12k CAD, while I think I can get just a few more if I sell it on private.

Recently I found two cars that are on sale near my area (Toronto, Canada).

1. 2008 bmw 335i with 50k miles, sports and premium pakage (trade in + $6000)
2. 2009 g37x with 90k miles, basic package (trade in + $4000)

Is this considered a good "upgrade" for the money?
Or should I just settle with g35x for another year, then get a brand new car?

What would you do?:dunno:

Thank you.

It is all your preference but I just can never recommend purchasing any vehicle brand new. It seems to me that is where you can lose a lot of money down the long run.

I ould keep the 35X. You know it is a good car. The bmw is nice but maintenance cost is high.only you can make the decision what to do. Your 07 has low mileage. And it serves you well. You can't go wrong with your car the BMW And G37.I would get the service history of those two cars and then make your decision.

I would definitely wait a couple of years and then pick up a 2011 or 2012 G37xS. The new interior and bigger engine would be nice along with the sports package for paddle shifters and steering. But what you have is great and 90k is not a lot of miles at all on these cars.

A saw a beautiful 2010 Sport in Red the other day for $24500 asking at a dealership. Great car if you have $24k. I don't.

Sure by waiting the trade in on yours currently will drop. But an upgrade of a couple of model years isn't worth the thousands it will cost IMHO.
