2003 G35 - Am I overpaying?
Hello,
Just looking into buying a mint 2003 G35, red, 9/10 condition with only 35k miles. Only problem, seller wants close to 15k. Does this seem too high? Thanks, |
It really depends. Seems high for a car that old but that is pretty low mileage. What kind of package does it have? Brembos, Navigation, wheels, mods?
|
If its fully loaded with sports package and the car is 10/10 overall then yes fair price but I would never oay that for an 03 I did pay that 2 years ago for an 05.

A sedan? Yes
Coupe...depends on the options. I personally would have issue with paying 15K for a 11-12 year old car unless it was a low-mileage garage queen that I intended on doing the same with. What do you plan on doing with this car? Daily driving it? Weekend car? If a daily driver, i'd look for a clean car with a bit more miles on it and lower your price a tad. |
Looking for more of a weekend car.
It a coupe with the sport package. Premium wheels, leather, gps etc. I am still having a hard time paying $15k for a 11 year old car. I had found another with only 41k, but the seller only wanted $11.5. Too bad he sold it. What would a car like this be worth? Or what would be a fair price? Thanks, |
It's worth what someone is willing to pay. (i know that's a cop out answer)
I'm with you though, I have a hard time paying $15K for an 11 year old car (or 12 if it's a 2002 build) 11-12K is prob the max that *I* would pay |
A coupe is worth more than some "Granny Sedan!" lmao
If it makes you happy offer him $1K less! That is very low mileage for an '03 and if it's in mint condition worth $14K. It should also come with all it's service records...Gary

I am not sure of the point of paying the premium for that low of miles. The car is already 11+ years old and if you are only driving it on the weekends you won't put many miles on it and probably want a new toy before miles really even add up. I would save some money and find a garage queen with a few more miles and save some money. Unless you plan on keeping it for a long time. Just driving on the weekends you are lucky to put 5k/yr on it so it will take 10+ years to even reach 100k.
