'04 G35 sedan w/ 65K '06 engine for $5,500?
Hi,
I found a 2004 G35 sedan (automatic) with 65K miles for $5,500. When I called he mentioned that he had changed the '04 engine to an '06 G35 with 65k miles.
I'm not a hard driver and I don't drive fast and furious. I would use this car for my daily ride, which is less than 20 miles.
I've been told that it's too old for a used car, but I really don't want to spend so much on a car that will end up parked on the street at night.
Assuming the car looks decent, is this a good buy? I'm including some exterior pics of the car.
Thanks.

Yep mileage on chassis, any CEL? Run the VIN, see if there's anything that's on record that should be disclosed? Either way GL and keep us informed, hopefully you'll get your DD.

Seas there's no reason for you to comment to a potential buyer from 2015. He hasn't logged on in 3 years.....

I appreciate the lore and any new info related to high mileage g35s. I'm looking at an '05 with 150k, a new (2 years old) transmission, expected wear and tear (after 14 years on this crummy rock) and probably gonna pay $2200 for it.

You know what? I'm currently, in 2019, thinking of buying a 2005 g35. This thread perhaps remains helpful to ppl who aren't you, Blue.
