Wanting to buy G35, have some concerns

I was thinking of buying this 04 g35 MT coupe but i read somewhere that the 03 and 04 have alot of paint issues and annoying little problems like cd player not working, lots of rattling and other things. basically telling me to go for 05+ g35 coupe

here's the car ad:

http://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details....dId=1097464585 (the ad is in KM btw)

so is what i read true? should i just go for an 05+ coupe?

and also i live in canada, will the VDC, winter tires, and very careful driving be enough? i don't drive very long distances like on highways or anything. just in the city. and i will probably barely drive 10 000 km a year

another issue i have been seeing alot is brakes and tires going out quickly, is this due to aggressive driving or is it something every g35 owner experiences? the car ad comes with brembos, would that solve the brake issues?
are there any other common issues i should be aware of?

thanks

All Gs have the same issues (paint, brakes, oil burning, etc) throughout all years some years worse than others on every issue. This is a very rare car tho being a black interior/white exterior. I'd buy it in a second depending on running condition.

Scraggle is partly correct, paint isn't an issue if you wash and wax using quality products and of course have a garage and use it! Brakes, again not an issue if you upgrade rotors and pads. Oil burning is a question, Nissan will tell you burning a quart between changes is normal. Maybe it wouldn't be if they'd installed quality rings.

As a recent buyer of an '03 6MT Brembo, I too was paranoid about the common reliability you read on these forums. So far as the season winds down and I prepare to store until next spring, the car has been trouble free, the only things I actually did was swap all fluids coolant, diff, oil, gearbox. Did over 4000km on the oil and barely a drop was used. Then again, I don't track or drive aggressively. The paint is indeed soft, it gets chipped pretty easily in the front. All years have their issues, the 05+ have oil consumption issues. The one thing that is a must is a mechanical inspection preferably by an Infiniti dealer who knows the weak points and can pull up past maintenance records and warranty history.
