Radiator

Any thoughts on $50 ebay radiators. Sounds to cheap. One company goes by Autoshack

I'd stay away. You can get a OEM type replacement on Rockauto for under $100, I think we bought a TYC. It's been in the car for about 30K miles with absolutely no issues, plus it just dropped right in w/o any hassle.

If my radiator went, I'd buy the $50 ebay one. They're easy to change out, and radiators are proven and simple enough that China can get it right IMO, and as long as it has good reviews for fitment I'd pull the trigger. I've never heard anything bad about EBay radiators, and if the welds look good I say send it. I'm normally one of the guys who's all for well engineered but more expensive parts as well.

Thanks guys. Bought a Denso from rockauto n hoses for about $100. While my hands are dirty, may as well.change the thermostat. But water pump, Don t know if I should attempt it. Afraid I might move the timing chain

The water pump wasn't meant to be part of maintenance. Supposed to last the life of the car

Oh that's good to hear. I'll. Just leave the water pump alone

I've had a 60 dollar eBay radiator in my car for a few years now and no issues. Don't replace the water pump, unless you have issues or you can hear the bearings going out. I couldn't lock the crank on mine when I did it and the engine rolled over. I ended up having to take the front apart and replaced everything while I was in there.

See above. Also a motorcycle I'm working on. "one thing leads to another."
