Snow & traffic just don't mix in the T-Dot

Jesus man, it's awful out there! The worst part is that the conditions aren't that bad. What make them bad is the three categories of drivers. First you have the ones that think its a nice summer day - which quickly turns into one of the many accidents we have outside right now. The second is the type that thinks it is so dangerous, that if you drive faster than 3KM/H you might die. Finally you have the morons that, as soon as snow hits the street, immediately forget the rules of the road...such as stop signs, right of way, red lights and, my favorite....THE FACT THAT THERE ARE TWO F***** LANES ON THE STREET! MUST YOU DRIVE RIGHT IN THE F***** MIDDLE OF THE STREET?????????????????????? some of us DO know how to drive in these conditions, a**holes

...

as I'm sure you can tell, I just got home from driving out of downtown. And I'm glad I take my frustration out on my keyboard and not on the road, like some others I witnessed today.

I did WFH today, even though there's less mess here. Waiting for all our snow to melt, which should definitely happen by Saturday when it's 10 degrees!

Hang in there, even if you have to call Dial-a-Bottle. And share with Troy, he clearly needs some...

Troy, if there are only 3 categories of drivers as you described and none sound very good, which category do you fall in? :p

Hahaha, good question. I would probably fall under the 4th category. (it's sort of like the little asterisk beside my previous post). The type that tries to drive according to the conditions, but as soon as he is scared sh*tless of the sheer stupidity of 'most' drivers, simply goes in the right lane, throws on some music, sips his coffee, and comes to terms with the fact that he will not be home for quite some time! :D

Oh, and bottles all his anger until he gets home and can share this with his fellow competent drivers ;)

A half hour drive took 70 min. tonite. Saw all the drivers Troy described and some who were worse.
My icebears did a reasonable job.
If you find some libation in the fridge you might order a Pizza and get it for free. They won't make it in 30 min.
It's a good idea to be safe in this weather.

I was thinking this morning that this would be the ultimate test for the G and the winter tires....but I got scared and took the beater. I didn't think it was worth risking someone slamming into my baby just to test out the tires. Although, I might take it out in the evening when not many people are around, just to see how it handles the snow and the freezing rain. Nothing fancy, just around the block.

And great idea on the Pizza!:D

It is absolutely wicked out. So nice to be back in the GWN eh Ian. Better to stay at the office than tackle that drive with the crazies on the road Ian.

Good lord. I made the mistake of going to BMW Mississauga at 1:30pm, snow started at 2pm and I just got home. :/

Be careful out there guys.

This must be the same storm that is supposed to hit us tomorrow afternoon and Saturday. When it's storming hard tomorrow, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if our daughter decides it is a good time to be born.

Drive safely guys and don't be on the roads if you don't have to.

You learn fast. A child has his/her own schedule and the parent dances to the tune that is being played for a few year anyways. ( into my 18th year now LOL) Good Luck:)
