Man, at such a young age....How the hell did that happen!!!!!
to my mind, that's a little beyond recreational.....

If you're serious, M. then you'd better get some help bro. That problem won't improve, and that hole you're digging will only get deeper.......

I know it's none of my business, and tell me to mind my own business if you like, but as a fellow G, I'd say you're in trouble..

For you to post this on a public fourm, in my opinion you have a problem.

Itll only get worse. Stop now before you get deeper into the hole.

+1 That is a lot of dough for most anyone let alone a student. It will get worse and it ruins a lot of lives.

The first step is admitting and recognizing it. You're there. Now go immediately and get help. there is no shame in that. Call the government gambling commission and get their hot line to start the help.

Yeah stop now. At least you are taking the first step in resolving your problem and that is admitting it. Everytime you feel like gambling put the money that you are going to gamble and put it in a jar. At the end of the month look at what you will have saved and then go buy some mods for your G!

burns420 05-21-2007 03:37 PM

just because you gambled alot in the past 3 months and lost alot does not make you addicted. just realize your not winning and see if you can stop. if you think you have to get your losses back by more gambling than you might be addicted, if you can leave it and accept that you lost your alright. i used to gamble alot to where everyone thought i had a problem, but i really didnt because i could leave it at any time and the amount i lost/won never had a big effect on my life at the time.

Hey 6mtzer while I generally agree with your advice... this is the Canada section. 401ks exist in the US.:thewave:

For most people addictions are stronger pulls than they realize even though most think they can contend with it. You've admitted in both posts you think you have or may have a problem. No disrespect to burns but you must know you're losing money and already be trying hard to get it back with more gambling. Also the amount you win or lose isn't necessarily the qualifier for being addicted. Be safe, make the call and talk to some experts to find out if they think you have an issue.

I need to stop using the "New Post" button :o

In that case, invest in your CPP http://i16.tinypic.com/5zqfiid.gif

No worries at all. I knew it had to be an oversight. Actually here that would be RRSP registered retirement savings plan and/or company pension plan. The CPP is compulsory for those who have employment income. ;)
