or anyone know of good solutions other then changing brake pads. Here is the site where I purchased mine: http://www.wheelwax.ca/ Poorboys Wheel Sealant also does the same thing. |
Just like Wayne said, Wheelwax or Poorboys Wheel Sealant seem to be most popular.
If you are running on original brake pads, the dust will always be an issue. Later year models had the pad formulation changed so there would be less dust to deal with. I switched over to Hawk HPS' last October and am amazed at having virtually no brake dust( just a trace) to clean off. |
thanks, darn can't find the post of someone finding a spray on product at CDN tire

I don't think you'll find anything that helps against brake dust other than changing the pads. The wheel sealants mentioned will make them a little easier to clean and slightly less dust clinging to the wheels.
|
All the cleaners mentioned above may help, but the most noticeable solution is aftermarket pads. My Stillen (Brake Pros) pads have been on for 6 months now and they dust very little. I haven't washed my rims in about a month, and no visible brake dust on them. Stops well enough (can't really make a comparison to OEM), and costs less.....

+1 for changing pads. Most aftermarket pads leave virtually no visible dust.

Of the products that I tried, I found the Micheline Brake Dust Repellent to be the most effective and cut down on the brake dust quite significantly. If I still had my 03 G, I would probably still be using that product.
