Plan B
In my situation where I have a sister in the US;
I could buy in the fall (in her name) & store it at her place for the winter (instead of here).
It'd be ready to import Apr or May c/w warranty & ready for Summer

Nissan vehicles must first be registered in U.S. for coverage to apply. If the car moves to Canada after it is six months old the warranty will be valid. However, if a U.S. market car is brought to Canada and sold before the car is six months old, the warranty will be void.

ian's plan b .. would be an excellent option if he was interested in trading in his M for the GTR.

There are some states that are tax free on the initial purchase...
so shouldn't be any difference.
Also.... you're buying a used car from your relative...
= depreciated value bill of sale
Anyways....back to the topic of the thread, I just wanna know the approx number of GTR's coming to Canada...I am serious about getting one, but if production is soo limited and I'll get charged an arm, leg, and my left nut in dealer markups to get one....then I might have to look at other cars.
I remember when the Acura NSX first came out....the dealerships were charging thousands over invoice.....Maybe I'll have to wait a couple years for the GTR to "cool" down then get one??......I'll only buy NEW

Yeah, sorry about the
I imagine production allocations will be available at some point.
You can bet numbers won't be very big coming into Canada though.
This car is fitting into a narrow segment.
Like any hyped up new car entry like the GT-R... there will be some rape & pillage.
For me, I don't *have* to have the newest car on the block.
JMO, but I'd do a short term lease on something else now,
wait for the dust to settle & the bugs to get worked out.

No kidding about the small allotments in Canada. It's 1500 in the US so we will be lucky to have 100-150 cars.
