Unpaid ticket over a year
Hey guys,
I recieved a ticket when i was coming back from school. I think i was over 14km and the ticket was worth $60 with no points. Everytime i called to pay the ticket the person would say it's not in the system. I'm just scared if that ticket now turned to an $1000 fr not paying for a year now. It was in oshawa under Durham. Could someone tell me how i can find out if i have any tickets to pay off? i just want to be sure i don't owe anything. thanks M |
Happened to me many moons ago. I also called and kept a record of whom I spoke to and when. It never arrived. Call and keep records so you can prove you made an attempt.

Can you not go in to the police station and pay it?

u can go to local MTO office or provincial court office (traffic court) and get a print out of any out standing unpaid tickets... simple and done.

Maybe the officer realized he was wrong and decided to forget it. Can't see myself walking into a police station to pay for a ticket that hasn't been issued yet. |

If you forget about it because it iis not registering in the system it may come back to bite you in the butt. I have seen this haapen and sometimes a persons licence gets suspended due to the unpaid fine and then it is not a good scene. Your best bet would be to pay it and put it behind you. Just because someone you talked to doesn't see it in the system doesn't necessarily mean it is not there.

If they don't have a conviction to apply it against in their files, they shouldn't be able to take your money. |
probably forgot to turn it in and it never got filed has happened to me twice and its been yrs and nothing ever came of them

It was handed to me, i'm guesing i should've got something in the mail but havent' got anything. I just hope i don't see a suspension letter. Everytime i called, they ask me for a ticket number which i don't have. I wish i wasn't this careless |
