Can't decide trade or more mods

Hey guys,

I have had my G for a while not about 4 years picked it up in 04 brand new and only have about 40k on the car.

I am now up in the air about what i should do. i am torn between trading my car for something like a bmw 335 or keeping it and going FI.

i do have a bunch of mods already to the car, and my plan was to go with a Vortech SC and build the motor a bit which could cost me up wards from 8-9k
or if i should just sell the G and start a new project on a diff platform.

i have about a year left on paying for my car till i own it.

Im not sure whats your opinions?

im in the SAME situation buddy. I test drove an A5 with S package on it yesterday so now its in the mix too. But I seriously have the munchies for an alpine white 335 bad!

Right now I've decided to hold off a bit and see what the various 2009 line ups offers. G37 is not in the mix for me, can't get over the exterior styling.

^ I'm thinking of holding off on the mods & preparing for the GTR...in 2010, once the hype dies & the SPEC V is available....hopefully vanilla GTR's will be closer to MSRP:cool:

Same boat as well, 2 of my friends have 335 and it's an awesome car, right now the pre-owned prices are pretty awesome as well.....

However I am also paying off the car in the next few months and won't have a car payment anymore so that is something to consider if thats important for you.

I'm planning to get a condo soon so that'll have to supercede being top dog on the road......

Thats what I am starting to think as well. I will want the spec V and I am going to have over the MSRP tied up in my car within the next two years the way I am going. I would get one now but it may be impossible to get one without paying $20,000 over MSRP.

if you're already having second thoughts, it's time for a change. From this point forward, no matter what you do to the G you will feel like something is not quite right. I would get the new car and start fresh. The 335 is an amazing car and has great after market support in mods.

I'm in a fortunate position that I own both, the G35 and the E93 335i, which I originally had no plans to mod...BUT...;) I love them both for their unique characters. Two totally different cars and the best in their respective class IMO.

+1 ^^^ I agree 100%. I still have doubts about not buying my favorite vehicle of all time before I bought my G35 (3000GT VR4). I test drove one two summer ago with an upgraded turbo (400+ HP) and I still sometimes wish I bought that car.

I Agree with you. there is still somethign about the g35 that when i drop a new mod in it still makes me feel like i have a new car. my car is 4 years old... i usually never keep cars longer then two years but i have kept this one for longer due to the fact that i really enjoy driving it.

I set up an appointment today im going to test drive the 335ci and im taking a look at a 93 RHD supra TT as well.
