Update...found the site and sent them an e-mail.

Quoted me $287.95 US for 275/30/20 Toyo Proxes T1R

Installation is $13 per tire

8.75 NY State sales tax extra

Comes out to $ 799.84 CAN

Tires23 quoted me $ 940 tax and install included.

Is it worth the drive to Buffalo?

I think this year the after these exchange rates, there is not much point going to states for tires, unless you get a killer deal, looking at even tirerack, the difference is not that much, plus you have to pay for gas + tax +duty

one of my buddy recommended this shop at niagara falls, but in the states. rainbow tire, he says he got huge deal on tires (almost half the price) for his CLS AMG

Change over from snow tires to summer tires (GTA)

We have not had any snow in a month and the weather seems to be pushing daily highs of 6-12 degrees. I am dying to take my spongy Blizzaks off and put my summer tires back on.

Have you lads in the GTA made the swap as of yet?

I live a few hours from the GTA and I was driving on icy and snow covered roads yesterday.
You also must remember summer tires will lose traction at temperatures below 10C (50F)
I'm leaving my spongy Blizzaks on for a couple of more weeks.

I'm taking my spongy Blizzaks off this weekend snow or no snow!

...but it will still be at least a week after that before the summers go on.

I put my summers on this past weekend. In doing so, I got a chance to try out the new compressor - it worked great. I am contemplating an alignment but holding off until they finish fixing up the roads.

i just ordered my bridgestone potenza re760 sport tires from a local dealer. I got a quote for $875 for 2x 225/45/18 and 2x 245-45-18 plus 20 bucks for mounting and placing. hopefully I ll be able to put them on in a week or so.

I checked the re760 on tirerack, its competing with micheli exalto and the results were pretty good, and the treadwear seems like pretty good based on reviews, lets see what happens.
