the oem 19's are overpriced yea, i guess people cash in because they are rare, hard to come by and in demand.
I know someone just recently paid 1800 for a set with 80% thread
Toyo T1R's.

A little late on replying here but I actually bought a set for $500 with useless rubber (10% tread) and realized that new tires would cost me $1500 so sold these for the $500 I paid and bought another set with usable rubber for $900 CDN.

Yeah, that's a bit of a deterrent, though I've noticed you can sometimes pick up some low-mile take-offs when guys go with wider rubber or whatnot.

Glad that you passed on them...that seller was a B**** with a capital anyways. I mean no rubber and $950 firm...please.

I'm still looking for a set my friend.....guess me and you will be searching for awhile. I haven't seen anyone selling them.
