Sweet. We had one of those a few months ago. I'm sure there's a few more in our future too.

Oddly enough, I did not have a beer today. HAHA! I could have, though, I actually didn't feel too bad this morning. After power-raking and aerating the lawn Fri/Sat, today I fixed the floor in our trailer and fertilized the lawn. I'm determined to have a less-scabby-looking yard this year!
Maybe next weekend I can get back to finish some work on the G. Not Sunday, though, since I was reminded that is Mom's Day. |
You have an aerater? Rental?

Long story short, when I took it back I told them they needed to give that guy a raise and me a discount! Before I left, the rental price was cut in half. Not sure about the raise. So I get all finished yesterday afternoon, me and the Mrs are enjoying the end of the baseball game when suddenly BANG! It sounds like a car wreck, but without the squealing tires. Or somebody dropped a load of metal off a truck. we looked around outside, nothing. Couple hours later I go to open the garage door, won't work properly. Goes partway up, back down. I'm looking all around at the wheels (are they binding?), the motor, everything. Then I spot it. The coil spring on the one side is snapped. These things are very strong and tightly wound and apparently when they snap, it makes one hell of a bang!! Got both replaced today...$265 later...:icon43: |
I think I need to aerate also. Moss and compacted soil = moss every year.
I had a spring break on my door also. It's fun doing my HeMan impression manually lifting the door up so we can get the cars out of the garage/go work. The last time, my door broke, it was binding and it caused one of the wires on the side to roll up off the pulley. Causing the door to lift crooked. Wife and I were trapped until the repair guys could fix it.(haha) But they came that morning and $125 we were fixed. Not bad really. |

The lawn is greening up pretty well, what with a couple days' rain following the whole rake/aerate/fertilize operation.
The car, on the other hand, is pretty dirty at the moment. I might squeeze in a wash tomorrow before Mom's Day stuff gets underway. |
