Lightbulb Ordering Rotors & Pads from US

Hey peeps,

I'm thinking of ordering some Stoptech/Centris rotors & pads from the US. Has anyone had experience buying from Rockauto.com? Seems like they ship to Canada quite often. I'm wondering if its worth picking up the items in Buffalo & getting them installed at a local shop. Or shipping directly to Toronto for installation.

After seeing the prices online vs local shops...there's no way i would want to pay local prices ($1K+) for these parts: (prices from Rockauto.com)

CENTRIC Part # 30909610 REAR StopTech Street Performance 38.79
CENTRIC Part # 30909600 FRONT StopTech Street Performance 46.79
CENTRIC Part # 12642076SR Power Slot - Slotted Rotor 90.89
CENTRIC Part # 12642076SL Power Slot - Slotted Rotor 90.89
CENTRIC Part # 12642079SR Power Slot - Slotted Rotor 82.79
CENTRIC Part # 12642079SL Power Slot - Slotted Rotor 82.79

What site do you order from?

Do you ship it to Buffalo for pick up or ship directly to Canada?

(I'm thinking if duty & tax is less than $100 then it's probably not worth driving all the way down from toronto, getting them installed same day and driving back)

Thanks!

O yes forgot to add if you ship through UPS the brokerage charges are ridiciolous... USPS and Fedex are both very fair and most the time it's marked off as a gift anyways so i pay no brokerage or duties but UPS is wayy too pricey as far as there brokerage charges go. I would say just go to Buffalo and pick them up....

The reason i go down there is because mainly of course to save the brokage charge, the difference in shipping within U.S versus getting it shipped to Canada (shipping charges) and also sometimes i drive back and depending on the officer at Canada customs well crossing back will just tell you to go so sometimes you get off with paying duties and then of course if you get them installed in the U.S it's another plus anyways.

Also while i'm down there i fill up my tank with gas so i save money there, grab some syntehic oil from wal mart and do some grocerie shopping so save some money there as well ... At the end of it all its all worth the drive !

I bought the same rotors a few months ago but from another vendor on here....www.cvrmotorsports.com, I had it shipped to Buffalo because shipping alone was an extra $100 and then getting hit with brokerage and customs from UPS is no fun.

I had it shipped to this place...www.cbiusa.com
My friends and I have shipped a whole set of stuff to this place throughout the past year, really close to the border, only 5 bucks per package for most items and no storage fees. My buddy ordered a bunch of stuff, rims, tires, aspec kit for his TL and left it there for close to a month before he got a chance to go pick it up and everything was fine.

^ Interesting assertion, based on what? Not saying I necessarily disagree, just curious. Look to be about the same price for OEM non-slotted through Infiniti Parts USA. Personally, for the same price, I'd go with aftermarket.

I got the rear BNIB slotted DBAs from Simone's Performance for 100 bucks each. He had them lying there for a while in the shop. What a steal! I bought the matching front rotors from JRP. You know you are paying full price if you shop at JRP..... :S
