I brought my rims over and only paid HST.
The border agent asked what did I bring over and I said rims, told them the value, and they told me I'll have to go in and pay. Painless process. They should technically charge you duties too, 6 or 7% on tires/rims (forgot the #s) not made in North America, but they never asked the country of origin so it was just HST. But factor that in anyway when comparing prices and you'll feel much better when they don't make you pay duties :D |
^ I've been bring lots O stuff across for many years & have never been charged duty.
If it's for personal use thay don't seem to care. |
yep, and im actually planning to go to the tire shop in Buffalo that Ian suggested. They're price is much lower than tirerack's
|
i payed like 50-70$ each time
|
That's it? just $50-$70?
How much you declare you're wheels/tires at ? |
