I went to the Splitfire to get my dyno and I was pretty suprised of the results I've recieved. Here is the attachment picture that I've scanned the result. As the result, I have reached 246.22 HP at 6900 rpm. Tell me what you guys (and ladies) think?

Thanks
Sandip

Sweet. That's about what a stock '05 does...and with 70lbs less, that should make your '04 quicker.

Nice. I don't know much about dynos but from what I've seen from others on this site that's pretty impressive. The ones I've seen from the '05's are about 240-245 hp. It would have been interesting to see a before and after with the plenum spacer.
What really surprises me is that your peak horsepower was at 6900 rpms. That's much higher (700) than the factory claims.

I phoned the splitfire to make sure i said 6900 rpm, he said 6600 rpm which is more like it. Now I know I get the power how much hp at the certain rpm. I should've got the dyno for the stock, before plenum spacer and Z-Tube. The room temperature was 21 C. After I took out of Splitfire, I see all bunch of lights came on such ABS, SLIP, BRAKE, etc. and as I drove by... it's all gone, i think it been reset or something... then... felt the power of the car ... it's like a beast re-incarnation from GT-R *I wish*.. but I wonder what it feels like to drive the GT-R.... anyone own one? :D

Pretty Good Numbers . . . where is the splitfire, what did it cost? I plan on getting mine dyno'd before I get my exhaust put on and after . . .

Well, there is another one in Burlington where you live is at:

DL Motorsports
1140 Heritage RD #7 & 8
Burlington, Ontario L7L4X9
Tel. 905-319-1952
Website: http://www.dlmotorsports.ca/

I don't about DL Motorsports, but I trust my guy at Splitfire. He charges me $60 for 1 run, but he gave me 2 runs because I wanted pretty long time. It is best to call Paul (Splitfire) in ahead of time. Here is the number:

Splitfire Performance
Model 224 Dyno
220 Rutherford Road S.
Brampton, ONT L6W 3J6
Tel: 905-457-2977

It is good to know how much hp I'm cranking at :D

Those numbers are pretty close to my sedan. Here is a pic of my dyno run that I did last year for comparison...

Is there any way to work out how much HP you are producing over your stock vehicle? I have similar mods and since stock was 298hp, I wonder could I have added 10-12 by these simple mods.

Wolfter - I think I saw you pulling in to Paul's place on Monday - I was in the blue G beside you. Paul is a good guy to work with - I dynoed there last year after putting on the ProCharger - 355 rwhp. And before anyone says anything I know that I was running way rich - still didn't save me from blowing that engine.

Thanks Wolfster . . . I ordered my exhaust yesterday (Stillen Cat Back :D ). I will more than likely have it installed on or by the weekend of the 21st of May after which time I will be looking to get a dyno done. I will take a run by JL and see what they have to say for themselves.

I appreciate the info.

Thanks!

I saw you on the hwy 401 to 410 and on the way to Rutherford. I really like the rims you have. Looks great and hot looking car! Do you remember the Acura CL Type S drove by you as well? That is one of my friend and he has a Comptech Supercharge. He was checking out your rims and he likes it. :D

I asked Paul which is better supercharger or Turbo. He said that Twin Turbos he reccomended and he can boost it up to 380 WHP... then I smiled :D I think it will be Greddy Twin Turbo or custom. He did TT on one or two 350Z and samething with G35. He prolly mention about the procharger :D

I asked Paul about the headers and he said that will not do anything much because I'll need to change the Y-Pipe or exhaust system in order to increase hp and tq. Bonus the sound will be deeper if I get this product.. can't remember what product he said. Anyway, the mechanics in the shop are pretty hard worker and they didn't bother taking a break or lunch break... they were eating lunch and doing the work at the same time. Pretty impressive. :p

PimpCoupe May 11, 2005 10:07 PM

I agree - I would have gone turbo exept that my car is an auto. SC are better for automatic trannies. If you are going FI, headers are probably a waste of $$$. Go for an exhaust instead. I have a Stillen exhaust, Borla is pretty popular as well.
