Re: Mothers Clay Bar Kit
you don't have to but usually you would clay bar the entire car. Once you start and see how nice a surface it leaves on the car, you'll want to do the whole car.

Re: Mothers Clay Bar Kit
yes you must remove the wax which is easily done by washing the car a couple of times with dawn. Your best bet is to try and remove the tree sap with something other than the clay bar. while the clay bar would remove the tree sap, you would effectively contaminate your $20+ clay bar in no time at all.
I tell ya, with the number of questions you ask, you would think that you would have bought a car with a color other than black. your a glutton for punishment

Re: Mothers Clay Bar Kit
You dont have to remove the wax before you clay bar it at all. Use the clay bar any time there is something on your car that isn't coming off with your sponge/mitt and your carwash soap. The clay bar removes impurities from the slick finish.I am not exactly sure scientifically, but I asked ClayMagic and they said that if the lub spray is used under where the bar rubs, it won't ever remove the wax, so you are ONLY removing the impurities. The next time you wax, just wax like normal...you will never know where you clay bar'ed and where you didn't. The smooth feeling after you use the clay bar is from the fact there are no impurities at all...it isn't adding anything to the finish.
