Rim help
 

I thought I'd post this question again, because I didn't receive a response a few days ago. I've been cleaning my rims with Eagleone A to Z, but there are some "stains" on my rims that will not come off. Any suggestions on how to get these off?

I just came here to post the exact same question. My wheels look like they have grease streaks baked on. I've tried Eagleone and Simple Green. I've used both at the same time. I've tried rubbing the 'stains' out with a mf towel, but it simply will not come off.

I want to CG my wheels when I get them spotless, but I'm at my wits end after spending a LOT of time trying to no avail. If anybody can please make a reccomendation to try, I'd be very grateful.

Sorry guys can't help ya. I don't have any stains. If you can get pics, that might help other people to help you out.

i know of the stains that they are refferring to, my mom's lexus truck has stains around the lugnuts.... guess what its been 3 years since and they are still there.
I have tried all soaps and cleaners...no luck.

***THIS JUST POPPED IN MY MIND:
I have not tried this yet, but, how about some finishing Compound, the kind you use to fix a paint-scratch. Let me know if it works or not! *crossing fingers*

had these spots too, and I believe what did the trick for me was the local do-it-yourself car wash. Plenty of "pre-wash" and the high pressure wash from about 2 inches away cleared them up. Cost me maybe $3.50 a rim. Give it a try, if you haven't already, and good luck.

I picked up some BLUE MAGIC "Metal Polish Cream" at AutoZone which I use for my grill. It does say that it is safe for every metal surface including aluminum which is what our wheels are made of.
It says, "Its highly effective formula instntly removes oxidation, tarnish and dirt while it polishes, leaving a silicone film to protect the finish. Safe for all metal surfaces."

I would try this before I would try doing anything that is harsh and might have the potential to damage your wheels.

How your "Metal Polish Cream" working on your plastic grill? Does it make it look even more metallic? Additionally the Blue Magic doesn't say "It's s highly effective yada yada" it reads it. My advise to you, quit believing everything you read, but when you can't resist, make sure your apply it on the correct surface.
