How to get those stubborn specs and spots out??
Hey guys!
Okay, I have had my G35C for a week and a half and the other day, while there was a break in the crappy weather here in Ohio (snow/rain/cold/repeat) I decided to wash my car.
I wasn't ready to go the whole way and do the polish/wax/buff/make passionate love to hood, course yet. Just a nice shampoo and I cleaned the wheels.
Now then, my problem. On the hood, in the front where it slops down toward the bumper there are two VERY small little white dots. Might be remnants of some bird doodoo, I don't know.
I tried to blast them with a direct water jet, nothing, I covered them in soapy bubbles, nope. I even used my fingernail but they wouldn't budge.
I am obsessed by these lil specs (you cant even see them from more than two feet away) but I don't know how to get them off. I would try a brush but I dont want to damage the area around the specs.
So, what do you do to get little specs and spots of gunk off the paint without hurting the paint underneath?
Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

Try WD-40 if you want easy. I would use paint thinner but you have to wax the surface after. So folks are not comfortable with paint thinner but it is what bug & tar remover is-what's the dif.

Remember, the clear coat is paint as well. Too much elbow grease with paint thinner and you can expose the paint surface.
Goo Gone??? Nail Polish remover? Try using a cleaner/polish on that spot, like the Meguiar's Cleaner/Wax??

Specks? Yeah. Chipped paint. I've notice tiny chat/gravel caused damage. It appears that Infiniti bailed out, and didn't apply sufficient coatings of whatever they use, and its easy to rub through to the primer. I attempted to "rub" gently on a spot and went right through the garnet red into an awful yellow dull coating. Having it repaired cost me dearly. I now have to wait 90 days after repair before I wax and polish it. Can't go through a car wash which has cloth or brushes.
