When I worked at a pet store alot of people bought this stuff called natures miracle. They used it on their carpets where their pets peed. I forgot exactly how it worked, but it uses some kind of bacteria that neutralized the pee smell. People swore by it.
LMAO Reminds me of years ago a friend came home from vacation to find a homeless guy made his house out of the back seat of the car. She had to call the police to get him out but never got the smell out and had to sell the car.
I'd take it to an upholstery shop first to have them take it apart so you can clean it. Also, be careful when cleaning the leather- the odor is less on the leather and more on the cushion since the leather has a polyurethane sealant as a protectant. Use Lexol to clean and replenish the leather, and a microfier towel- be gentle tho.
If the urine has penetrated into the leather fibers, you may have some problems. Urine is slightly acidic, has inorganic salts and will turn into an ammonia-like smell that comes from the breakdown of the urea if left too long in one spot. If left in the leather fibers too long, urine will slowly break them down, but not enough for you to worry about unless you're keeping the car for 25 years or 1 million miles.
Good Luck

If it makes you feel better, some mice crawled up into my engine bay and died when i fired up the engine, i still have the smell of rotting flesh coming through my air vents

Why would you need to remove the driver seat? Wait... all this time you had us thinkng your little brother peed in the (presumed) passenger seat... and now the truth leaks out... it was YOU that peed the seat wasnt it!
I was just talking to my wife and she also thinks Natures Miracle from the pet store will get rid of the smell. It gets rid of the smell from dog ****. Can't imagine human **** is all that different.
