Bat's overlays on DG coupe
 

Well, I got around to install Bat's overlays tonight. I think I did an OK job with it with one potentially big problem. I did the install around 9:30 so I put on some bug repellent (Off) before doing it in my garage. On the first overlay I had my forearm (full of Off) against the overlay while squeezing out some bubbles. That left a foggy spot about the size of half a fist. I was bummed by that but decided to finish the install anyway. I guess it doesn't look half bad after I was done but I'll have to see it in the day time to decide if I need to do over.
Anyway, here's a few night time shots.

I'll try to post some daytime pics. I think these look fantastic but it's pretty hard to do a great job on the install.

AND DON'T USE BUG SPRAYS BEFORE PUTTING THESE ON!

i'd really like to see some day shots, with and without brake lights on. also could you possibly get some pics from a little further away...i'm just worried about people behind me not being able to see my brake lights through the tint and having this $38 product turn into $3800 in damages. still an excellent product though and i still wanna get them.

and which tint is that from bat, 3/10 or 6/10?

I got the 6/10 tint and I don't think there will be any problems with the brakelight. It's more than bright enough.
Here are a few pictures. I didn't take a daytime picture with lights on, but I checked it and I have no worries about it not being bright enough.

I think it looks great. Now I just need to get another right side overlay to get rid of the bug spray problem and my shoddy first attempt.

They look pretty awesome. How long did it take you to install them? Did you just do the backs only?

Do you have the fronts as well? Or did you decide only to do the backs?

I think it took about an hour to install. The second one took much less time than the first one after I got a hang of it.

Bat doesn't make the front overlays yet and when they do come out I don't plan on getting them. Maybe I'll change my mind if I see some pictures.[img]/w3timages/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

Look good, we just did our too, but we used a spray tint instead, check out the photos, rather light compare to urs due to the sunlight, but still legal.
