Just CG'd car... Few Questions??!??!?
 

Hey all,

Crystal Guard Quick .
Love this stuff. Easy application, high gloss.
Best Part? For me it's the absence of wax streaks.

Anyway, i had a few questions.
Will Dawn kill CG?
What should i use to wash my car next week?
(When i didn't use Dawn, i used Turtle Wax Wash... didn't strip wax)

Also, how often should i reapply CG quick?
Strip it first then reapply? or just go on top of it?

I use the Turtle Wax wash, it seems to work well. You can layer the CG quick for added gloss and protection so there's no need to strip before reapplying.

I think that Dawn hurts everything.

I bought the CG maintenance kit, which included their wash solution as well as a bottle of the CG Quick. So for me, I wash the car down just with water, then use the CG wash solution [spray on, then wipe down]. I then rinse that off with water again, and then apply the CG Quick. That seems to be working great for me so far.

I don't wash my car that often [about once every 4 weeks], so I just go ahead and reapply the CG Quick every time. Supposedely that will help to build up a layer upon layer setup for better protection. Otherwise, CG's website states that an application of CG Quick will last something like 2-3 months.
