Need Help!! Stain's on 19's
 

I went to my local dealer to have my car detailed and they sprayed some kinda acid on my wheels to remove the brake dust. Even though my car is brand new?? The next day i noticed these black smears on my forged wheels!!! :mad: And it wont come off, I took it to a local Detailer and he knew exactly what it was from before I even told him. But I wasnt about to my him $200 per rim to remove it...

Do you guys know how to remove these stains?

I checked the dealership and they will be ordering me a new set but I dont wana be rolling on stained wheels.
I have no idea how to remove the stains. I tried whipping them with a wet towel and the stains look like the are in the metal.

If you clean them up too good the dealer might not replace them.
I have factory 05 17" wheels that were looking bad from a winter of neglect and brake dust. The dealer was not able to clean them up. They had yellow stains on most of the spoke joints and some black brake dust drip marks. Last week I had them off for swapping and decided I would try one last time to clean them. All I used was standard Meguires car soap (I have heard that many strong rim cleaners can dull the paint), a LOT of elbow grease and an old sponge. They came out as good as when I got them. But my arms, fingers, and hands were exhausted from all the work. I guess the dealer wash guy was not going to wear himself out doing his job?

The factory 17's arent the same as the 19in forged will that still work? Yeah i know I had words with him about the acid he put on the wheels, he had never worked with my type of wheels before. No matter I just need it to be a little less noticable at least for now.

I applied Wheel Wax last week to try and prevent brake dust from sticking to my wheels. Only time will tell if it works.
