Those are the exact sizes that I want....245/35 and 275/35 (19"). Thanks man, I'll check it out.

Deemo Feb 8, 2011 07:26 PM

oops....i meant to say the nitto nt555s are 750, not the falken's. my bad...
but also check out hankook v12s i like them....theyre pretty good for the price.

edit.
When i was researching to get tires i read some reviews about the side wall bubbling on the nt555s. my brother had a set a while back an 2 of his tires started "bubble" inside. I would definitely go with another brand

I'm not sure how a 245/40 would look...has anyone run a 245/40 on a 9.5 wheel? I know the sidewall will obviously be bigger, but is it really big? I wouldn't mind having a larger sidewall for peace of mind, but is it huge?

^ thats the factory size for rear tires. I would do 245/35 instead

VicariousVision Feb 8, 2011 11:22 PM

Yea, I currently have a 245/35 right now. The ride isn't quite what I want, but I think it's more a product of the tire that I am currently running.

I just want to be able to take harder turns and curves without having to get nervous. I know I'm not stretched to the max or crazy hellaflush, but I do still have a mild stretch and it makes me nervous at times in my daily driving.

there's guys that are running 215/35s on 9.5s and daily drive them. I wouldn't worry even in the slightes about a 245/35. And if you can remember, take a look at an OEM 19x8. They have 225/40 on there and even have a little stretch.

245/35 is completely fine.

sexyrob Feb 9, 2011 12:15 AM

my bad, meant 35

ezpotato Feb 9, 2011 12:23 AM

i have 255/40's in the front. i'm on 18s, its not too big, but it's def a lttle meatier look. doesnt bother me, actually makes it look beefy on my car.

JBF Feb 9, 2011 12:24 AM

problem with not running tires that are close to the same outer diameter as OEM is that the speedo will be off and may cause ABS issues

BlueBOB Feb 9, 2011 08:37 AM

+1 on johnny's comment...

I ran 245/35 on my fronts and they were perfect. I am ALL ABOUT turning aggressively and that size setup 245/35 and 275/35 worked quite perfectly. Believe me, I was very aggressive in my daily driving :).

I had the Dunlop Sport Maxx tires. Though probably not the most popular, I was surprisingly happy with them. BeerViper runs those as well (at least he did when I got them) and loved them as well. They are great in dry weather and still handle the wet weather very well.

And I have an actual hookup at discount tire. I actually have two. One is a store manager, the other is an assistant manager. Let me know and I can get you in touch with either one or both.

ezpotato Feb 9, 2011 09:33 AM

^^^ hook it up with some (2) 275/40/18 Hankook Ventus V12

I'm liking my v12's a lot, great for the money and they do well on snow
