My daily driver is so special, I give it it's own thread. new wheels.

So i've been looking around for a good deal on the Mazdaspeed3 stock wheels, from 2010+. most people wanted just like 800$ for the wheels. Got a local guy who sold me wheels, tires, TPMS, etc for WAY less than that, and all i had to do was slap em on.

well, here's a before and after.
Stock wheels were 17x7 +52 (herrasunk)
Stock MS3 wheels are 18x7.5 +45 (kinda herrasunk) but they fill the fender so well and look so much better.

When I first got it: (first day)

Then lowered and lip and yellow fogs:

And now, with MS3 wheels:

haha that is epic! i know people rag on these things for looking like they're smiling, but i personally love the styling.

I like it too mayne.. Great pickup.. Adds to it's conservative aggressiveness. what's next?

ezpotato Aug 25, 2011 12:41 PM

on this car? prob nothing. taking a break from modding. just repairs.

but if anything, maybe a cf hood for the mazda later this year to help reduce the weight i picked up with the wheels hahaha

nah but seriously, prob open the tails and headlights, and black em out inside.

twalls Aug 25, 2011 01:06 PM

Nice.. you gonna ever auto-x this one?

ezpotato Aug 25, 2011 03:30 PM

no. no point in abusing my daily tires.

gmotion04 Aug 25, 2011 05:11 PM

i first saw those bumpers for the rsx they were aftermarket and the style was mugen then mazda came along and started making it oem.

ezpotato Aug 25, 2011 05:39 PM

mazda makes some unique cars. and i've had it for 30k, and never once have i had to take it in for anything, no electrical issues, hoses, recalls, nothing.

that's more than I can say for most infinitis. haha! Yeah the styling is different, but at least they know their niche. and i personally like most of their cars (rx-8, ms3, ms6, etc) and they're loaded for the price. prob one of the funner cars out of the box FOR THE PRICE.

do i sound like i work for mazda yet?
