Fuses?

any one know which Fuse is for the tail lights?
cause before i go out tonight i want to see if i can quickly fix it so im less likley to get pulled over

thanks in advance

BeerViper 02-25-2006 09:53 PM

It's listed on the fuse box cover ... driver side kick panel. I believe it's a 10amp fuse.

JJs G 02-25-2006 09:56 PM

the clearence strip and corner lights arent working as well? is it the same fuse or is there a different one?
thanks also for the quick help !! greatly appreciate it

BeerViper 02-25-2006 11:05 PM

I'm not sure offhand about the clearance and corners but something seems fishy if you have that many lights out ... it might just be that one fuse...

Hey offhand would you know if your OEM 17's have enough offset to clear brembo's??

JJs G 02-26-2006 12:39 AM

yes sir... the OEM 17's do clear the brembos

yeah i was driving it just now... and hadda barley hold my brake down so the rear lights would be illuminated so i wouldnt get pulled over... my radio console lights are all out as well...

so now i got the
1...Clearance strip in the head lights out
2...Corners or Side Markers out
3... Radio Console Lights out on the buttons only not the text Dispaly
4... the Tail Lights out....

WTH IS WRONG WITH MY G =(

Has this been going in phases or did all the lights go out at once? Time for you to find a flashlight and start pulling some fuses!

I might be interested in your wheels to use for autocross and track use depending on what size tire I could fit on them. Any idea how wide the rims are?

JJs G 02-26-2006 01:33 AM

not sure on the width of the rims ill find out though....
here ya go... sizes on the tires you might need
225/50-17 (Front)
235/50-17 (Rear)

the lights went out when i was tryin to change the bulbs in the clearence strip with the headlights POWERED ON !!!.... as soon as i took the stock wedge bulb out... all the light turned off besides the headlights...
i didnt realaize the radio or the tail lights out till couple days later...
herd and saw the side markers and the clearnce strip lights go out.... got pliers checks all fuses.... ALL FUSES ARE GOOD !!!! ??????

a couple of things you can try:

1. Reset the ECU/BCM.
2. Download the service manual if you don't already have it and go through the wiring diagrams. I just glanced at it and there were some test procedures listed.

JJs G 02-26-2006 10:35 AM

which sections of the service manual cause theres soo many and im not really familiar with it...

thanks for the info and the ecu can be reset by disconnecting the car battery for 12 hours... then something with the pedals... for 5 secs then 10 more secs? dont really know how to reset the ecu either.?

thanks for the help though appreciate it guys

balaguru 02-26-2006 09:28 PM

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar enough with it either to get you to the right page. LT-32 might be a place to start. I think it cautions against disconnecting stuff with the lights on.

I also don't know the reset procedures off the top of my head but you should be able to search it. It's probably a sticky somewhere. I'd try this first. Good luck.

Bummer ... thanks for the heads up Randy!

JJs G 02-27-2006 10:25 PM

my bad sorry for that? i thought they did guess not... but do they not make spacers? j/w

BeerViper 02-28-2006 12:44 AM

Yeah you could go with spacers but I would be using these for track wheels and the spacers add unneeded stress to the hubs.

BeerViper 02-28-2006 11:40 AM

Any luck getting your lights back working?
