I've raced 2 of them, lost both times. Those things pick up pretty quick.. But none of them ran a 12.8...

Results are impressive but after a little bit of research u will find out that those results make sense

1. His mods
2. With Spare tire/tools/front seat removed he is saving about 150lb
3 and most Important: Density Altitude = -1468 feet for November 24 2008.

His rough corrected times to perfect conditions are 13.051 @ 107.185 MPH
From My estimation every 150-200 lb person will add 0.2 seconds on ur ET time and shave about 1.0-1.5 mph from ur trap speed.

Now if we take his car, he did very well (common for IS350s) with his 60ft time.
Conditions were better than perfect (i dont know if this makes sense).
He has minor mods which probably helped him with is ET by 0.2 seconds.

Dont get me wrong, these cars are very fast out of the box and will kill pre 07 stock G35s till triple digits. But when u see these times, including some on this forum, u have to really investigate the circumstances and how it was done.

read the post above. In those conditions IS-F should run in 11s.

My friend that owns a is350 was telling me about this pedal dance thing he has to do to total unlock the traction control.

I toyed backand fourth with him on the highway alot, and if he doesnt do his pedal dance before getting in the car i hang alot closer...

Some drives im sure dont know about this.

If anyone knows what im talking about post it up, its weird...

It's impressive but like klubbheads pointed out, there were so many reasons why he ran that time.

A stock ISF here in SoCal was running those same times during my last track event

That disengages the traction control completely and only relevant when launching the car. It has absolutely no affect in Roll races.

i dont know..i had the is350 for a week as a loaner car and that car flew.. i think the 350 will have a good jump on the G. maybe you'll reel him in by the end of the 1/4.. 3rd gear is our best gear in the 5AT..
but i wouldn't be surprised if you lose.

Compared to a 5AT it is going to feel alot faster.

5AT on the G35 = Meh...

You'll need atleast 3.7 gears for NA for there to be any excitement in the car.

(Good thing Infiniti is getting rid of its 5AT with the upcoming 7AT).
