Fiery 350 crash- driver killed himself, others

I caught wind of a crash that took place in Chicago the night before T-giving.

The kid was racing a Golf for $$$, saw a cop make a u-turn, and ran.

He proceeded to run a red light, striking a van and killing at least one of the occupants as well as himself.

Here's links to appropriate threads on ChicagoZ.com and 350Zmotoring:

QUESTION: How much sympathy do you really have for this kid?

I waver between sadness for the loss and anger for the extremely poor choices made; There was an innocent death.

Comments? Questions? Anyone?

I've made reference to this thread else where here as well. I think I made my disapproval of the driver actions clear.

Thank God he didn't kill the other party but himself.

It's sad and tragic. Reading through that thread almost made me sick. The kid made some poor decisions and payed the ultimate price. People should show more respect when lives are lost. There is a time for all the other stuff.

RIP

I think he killed the driver of the van too. The thing that raises my ire is the attitude on the other boards. "He's dead. Don't say anything bad."

If you can't learn from others' errors, you have a hard road ahead of you.

you know, a life was lost and that's tragic... but the decision to how that life was lost was terribly studpid..... running from the cops? dumb! running from the cops at 130 mph? extremely dumb........! hitting someone else because of the dumb choices........NO EXCUSE!

I have no sympathy for idiotic behavior... He killed himself and the husband, brother, father of another family. If you wanna be stupid enough and race on the public roads, take the ticket, don't try to kill yourself, or someone else in the process.

In answer to your question I have great sympathy for the kid, he is dead afterall. I believe there is one life and his is done and may he rest in peace.

The people who didn't want the comments in the car forum threads already know that he did the stupidest thing ever and that car enthusiasts will only be more eloquent than most in describing the level of stupid. His parents also know that they are the stupidest, sorriest parents this holiday season. The other family of the poor van driver has probably already been contacted by the stupid kid's stupid insurance company and found that the limits of his stupid policy will probably not come close to feeling as good as if they could bring him back to life only to pound his stupid face into the ground in front of the people who loved him most so that their pain could exceed theirs. His friends already know that they lost their most beloved stupid friend who was cool enough and stupid enough to die doing just about the stupidest thing that I think I have ever heard told knowing what I know as a car enthusiast. Well, except for one other time when the dead kid with the blood alcohol level slightly higher than top end speed of the Camero ended his life stupidly in my brother's lawn in front of five young children and an innocent tree which also happened to be the last thing that went through his stupid brain.

So I guess all they were saying is we know the obvious, the known publicly recorded facts alone are almost too stupid to bear, please can you help us to get through this stupid senseless loss that is going to haunt some of us until the day that we expire from this life?

Like I said in the same thread on the other board:

"Thanks Dad!"

ABQ_G35 11-27-2005 04:34 PM

There was a bad accident here early Thanksgiving morning, an alleged DWI driver ran a light at high speed, hit a taxi, all three in the taxi died, and the driver and passenger of the other car were critically injured. I guess this is off topic, sorry.

Well since his friend isn't on this forum, I will coincide with the opposite and say what a fcukin moron. Take the ticket and live...or atleast don't kill others while your at it. You can flame me for this, but being dead isn't enough reason to speak highly of, especially in this case.
