Why won't anybody answer this question?

After reading through several pages of search results from the word "transmission" I've come to a conclusion.

There are literally pages on pages of people with bad AT/MT transmissions ranging in all model years. Now, I have done some research on transmission options, and it seems that only SGP Racing offers an automatic transmission upgrade capable of handling upwards of 850+ RWHP.

Am I to understand that the hundreds of people who have turbo/supercharged their 350Z/G35s and been happy with the reliability of the stock manual/automatic transmissions?

I'm not a big fan of replacing transmissions, I'd rather spend the big bucks to get a transmission that wont crumble than rebuild a stock one 3-4 times, as in some cases is true.

Nobody knows of an aftermarket company that offers beefed up versions of the 6MT/5AT transmissions for our cars?

I haven't seen too many cases of FI guys having tranny problems. Usually just upgrade the clutch. The tranny probs people were having were mainly synchro problems and they seemed random.

Level 10 = Valve Body / No Transmission option for 350Z/G35.

SGP Racing = Automatic Only

VRT = ??? I don't see any options offered.

If your going to make a sarcastic post, at least try to offer something I haven't already said.

+1 ^^^

Sarcasm really sucks on this board.

I'm running with my third tranny. I've had 2 trannys go out on my 6mt sedan because of failing synchros. I wouldn't really call it random either. There are lots of drivers on here that have had their trannys replaced because of the synchros. My third tranny, I have put 40k on it and the last 6k have been with a Stillen SC. Its holding strong so far. I don't know of any 6mt replacements out there though. GL.

Lightbulb Sfr

Z - I just got my tranny back from Speed Force Racing & their work has a 2 year warranty. The tranny work is claimed to handle 1000 rwhp but since I'm selling my G & won't be finishing the "Project from Hell" I won't be able to provide any real world feedback. I had plans to switch to twins plus nitrous so I MIGHT have been able to test the power holding capability but perhaps I can get the new owner to post his results.
FWIW - the mods cost $4200 & allow 6-8 weeks ( at least!! ) for completion. The work will include a custom stalled & beefed T/C; a modded V/B for firmer WOT shifts & reworked pump pressure system to yield quicker shifts. SFR also beefs up or replaces the clutch packs ( it's proprietary so Tim didn't tell me ) & that's where the additional power handling capability comes from.
When I was just running N/A mods + nitrous I had Level 10 do their T/C & V/B work & was pleased with it. I was probably making 450-475 hp @ the crank w/the nitrous & had no issues for the 2 years I ran like that.
