Clutch question/HELP?!?!?
So after enjoying my day out with the all the G homies..decided to go downtown...baam my clutch just drops down...is it my clutch or the master/slave cylinder?
Anyone know any shops open today?? I tried calling German and another shop in Irving that someone in the forum recommended but I'm guessing they're closed. It's my one and only driver so I'm really stressing plus I need ot have the G towed. FOK...:dunno: And yes..I did do searches on the forum...but all I can find is people talking about upgrades..and the only posssible indication is that the cylinder went out?? Any ideas/suggestons....PLLLLLLLLLLLLLEASE |
**** hommie, that sucks.
This might help... http://www.nissanforums.com/z31-300z...work-help.html You should have stayed over with us. You totally missed out on Sam's antics, after you left. LOL. |
Mine did the same, had the master cylinder and slave flushed and bleed, problem solved.

Well I found fresh fluid leaking so I'm pretty sure it's the slave cyl that gave out since I believe that one is underneath; the master seems to be fine.
Props to my homies that have called/texted to offer their help. Double props to German for taking the time to go open the shop so I could have the car towed str8t there and leave it inside so it wouldn't get jacked. |
sucks man, hope you get this fixed quick.
MAN, you totally missed out on Sam :bowrofl: you should have stayed at my place. Sam was carpet swimmin'....$hit was hilarious. :bowrofl::bowrofl: - b |

Update on my clutch situation...not good...tranny is gonna have to be dropped...(THANK GOD I didn't go to the dealer)...
***Throw out bearing and arm broke**** and caused the piston to shoot out of the slave cylinder.. Guys, any recommendations on a clutch/flywheel combo.???.I'm gonna suk it up with Ramen noodles for the next 6 mo. flywheel is ok but might as well get a new clutch since German is droppin the tranny; with my luck he get's it fixed and then stock clutch goes out. And yes, I'm about to do a search for specials... JD |

Update on da G..props to German
Well, German called me yesterday to let me know muh baby was ready....
I ended replacing the clutch since it was pretty worn out. Went with German's suggestion and had a Luk clutch installed (didn't want to go overboard with just a NA engine) and this is slightly a better material than the stock clutch. Also, had the flywheel resurfaced, new clutch arm, and new slave cylinder. I must say that I'm having to relearn the clutch...it's soft as butter but not mushy; feels like I'm driving a subaru now ..will be getting the steel braided line installed so I'll see if there is a difference. So far, I def like the turnout and I have NO clutch shutter at all...no even when I turn it on..unlike even when it was new it still made some noise when starting/turning off the engine. I must def give props to German...not only did he take time on Sunday to go open the shop to get the car inside (since I had it towed) and had it ready by Wed (even with ordering the parts). He followed up with me and even made sure I was coo with the parts he was using, etc. I spent about $640 parts/flywheel resurfacing and roughly about $500 for the labor (a lot less than the stealership would have raped me with) |
Glad to hear the good news bro...
