which flywheel?
So I just ordered a JWT clutch + JWT flywheel combo, but the flywheel is on back order for 2-3 weeks...
They offered me the competition clutch ultra light flywheel as a replacement, so I wouldn't have to wait. It's 2lbs heavier and is 1 solid steel piece where the JWT is aluminum and you can replace the friction pads. Should I wait? or get the CC flywheel? |
Well I have a JWT clutch and flywheel, and they have around 15k on them and they are slipping pretty badly, so I would say yes haha, but im bias as of right now since I have to buy a new clutch
WOW really? 15k! that's ridiculous. Now I'm starting to have cold feet LOL
I'd cancel the order on the JWT hardware and would recommend a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch paired with an ACT Streetlight chrome molly flywheel which is way stronger than the JWT equipment. I've got 60k+ miles on mine and still grabbing hard:-)
^thats a pretty pricey setup haha. I am going to cancel my order though. Still not sure if I should actually get JWT stuff and my clutch isn't slipping... I was just buying one because Nissan told me my clutch fork is worn, but I think I'm gong to wait till something breaks lol
Yeah it is kinda pricey but considering the mileage, hard mileage, I have on it compared to the rest I would say its worth the extra money. I found good deals on both my flywheel and clutch so that helped. I paid $600 for the centerforce clutch and $280 for the flywheel. The only problem with waiting is that u never know when it will break and leave u in a bind. Anyway, good luck with it all.
