Clutch Still Sticking After Master/Slave Replacement

Hey everyone. About a week ago I replaced my master and slave cylinder, only to find that my clutch felt the exact same as before, sticking, loose, and my gears are shifting VERY rough. You need to force it to go into gear. I noticed my clutch fluid was STILL leaking as well. I knew it was the clutch fluid hose (attached to slave) because when I replaced the slave I noticed the hose soaked in oil and it looked very worn and beat up. I'm waiting on my new hose, but I want to make sure this will fix the problem. Basically I am asking, would the above mentioned problems really be caused by a bad hose? After replacing the slave and master, not a thing changed. I am fed up and want my gears to shift smooth again, and a firm clutch feel. Since it is supposed to be a closed system and the hose is leaking very badly, I figured it very well could be all cuz of the hose. If you disagree and think there is a bigger problem, what should I start to Check? Any and all feedback is appreciated

Fix the leak first. Once you get it pressurized, see if you broke your clutch pedal.....
