What's your concern with a twin plate? I've had a hd, 6 puck and run a twin plate now. The cool part with the twin plate is you only need to replace the disks and they usually come with a flywheel as a set |
Aren't those hard to street? I've already got a lightweight flywheel.
|
I daily mine approx 15 miles each way. No issues to drive IMO
|
Absolutely need a twin disc (or better). I would personally go with OS Giken but Exedy is another good choice.
|
Okay,Thanks guys.
So that was likely the reason I'm in the position now that I am? Because I don't have a twin disc set up? |

And if youre hesitant about twins/tripple disk clutches, look at the Southbend SS series of clutches.

I burnt through my JWT clutch in 5-10k miles with 600hp. I switched to a OS Giken Twin disc never looked back.
|
I went with the organic treated JWT clutch. My shop seems to be a big fan of them so, I guess I'm going that route. I just can't swallow a 3600 clutch job right now.
BUT I'm also getting open dumps :D |
