vq's and holding engine revs.

anyone know why the vq's hold on to the revs so long. what i mean by this is: when revving in neutral up to 4k-5k range and letting off the gas, the rpms come down very slowly. most higher performance cars i've driven drop revs faster and feel more responsive on the gas pedal. any way to change this?

It's an emissions thing. Most throttle by wire cars will do this.

Lighter flyweel.

The stock flywheel is heavy and hold the RPM's higher and longer.
