What filter does everyone use? I'm heading to the dealer today to get a new crush washer, and I didn't know if I should pick up a filter or just use one from Autozone. I remember reading something about using a larger filter, but I can't remember the part number. I'm probably going to end up using Amsoil 5w30 synthetic for the next oil change. I'll probably still change it around 4-5k miles, because we do a lot of short trips and stop and go type driving. We've had the car almost a year and it's just now approaching 7500 miles.

0W30 is good for cold weather like that.

Anyone have any experience with the reusable filter sold by PurePower? I was in their website (gopurepower.com) and they make a stainless steel mesh filter, allegedly superior to any of the fiber throw away filters on the market. It sells for $200 plus they sell different types of oils. One of he guys @ work uses the filter and one of their oils in his Harley-D. and tells me he can really tell the difference.

According to Eneos, their 0w-20 is group 3/4 blend, and their 0w-50 is group 4 (PAO). SInce the correspondence was from Eneos USA; Im assuming their euro/jdm products might be composed differently. Was yours for sale in America? Or imported....

just got some 2000 series amsoil 0w-30 for my 2003 6mt coupe and a new amsoil filter....
whoooooo weee, after 5,000 miles on mobil-1, this stuff is tha shiznit. this is no joke but RIGHT when i turned on the car after 5 quarts of amsoil, i could feel such a HUGE difference. the engine seemed smoother. maybe cuz it was all that sludge inside my engine. the pitch black nastiness was flowing out of my drain plug. it was so nasty. and globs of weird stuff was flowing out too....ugh =/
amsoil = dope !!
