I just bought a 2005, should I reset the ECU???
I just bought my 2005 G35 coupe 2 weeks ago with less than 8300 miles on it...which means the previous driver drove it less than 4200miles/year based on the time she bought it...My question is should I unplug my battery and leave it off for 5-10 minutes and let the computer reset so it can adapt to my driving habit? My driving is about 18k/year and I've put 900 miles in this car since I got it 2 weeks ago.
Now, if I do take off the battery, any precaution as far as prepping the car? I know I should keep the windows down so when I plug the battery back in, I don't have reset the windows for it to seal when I close the doors....or was it the other way around??? |
Don't bother. The computer will adapt to your new driving habits.

Try the pedal reset first. Search for msedanman and ecu reset. It might take a couple of tries and some more if you're slow. ;) lol
