ses light code p1084 HELP!
I had my ses light come on a few days ago, so I took it to my mechanic. He said it came back with this code p1084 and it says EXHAUST VALVE TIMING VOLTAGE CIRCUIT BANK 2. WTF does that mean? He checked and found that my car was 3 quarts low on oil, even though it had only been 2300 since my last oil change. He did a new oil change and reset the ecu. Problem fixed right? WRONG. 3 hours later SES light back on. Now i guess I need to take the MREV 2 and spacer off and go to infiniti. :( Anyone else with this problem or advise? I searched and saw a lot about oil problems and ses codes, but not the one I have.

Sounds like it's a sensor.
|
So do you think I should take the MREV 2 and spacer off before I go to infiniti?
|
not sure but sounds like bank2 camshaft position sensor causing the problem
|
The car feels really slow and this is making me nervous. I dont wanna have to fight with the dealership about this.
|
I took it to infiniti and they reset it. I t came back on the next day. Took it in a second time and they replaced the sensor. Next day back on. They then replaced the onboard computer. That day back on. IM confused, think im gonna take the mrev2 and spacer off. Anyone have advise or ideas?

Hey, just checking if you ever found out your issue? I have the same error code. Thanks.

i read it could be because of low oil not pumpin into your variable cam gearsso it reads off and sets off a code. not sure but worth a shot

so you have oil consumption issues. id look into getting a motor if you're still under warranty. and they wont be able to tell if you have a plenum on it. spacer maybe, but both are irrelevant to that code. did they change the sensor on the front or the cam sensor in the back? that would be the far right sensor up front if you are staring at your motor.

Anyone find the solution? I have the same problem. I replaced the sensor and keep my oil topprd up.

The manual did state to check to change the engine oil, check the harness, and sensor for debris. Only thing I did was change the oil... twelve hundred miles later the light went out. Good luck and please keep me updated. |
I think (hope) my issue was bad ground. I replaced my battery about two months ago. The post on the new battery was smaller than the old one, smaller than the clamp will go. I replaced the cable and after driving twice as far as the light was coming on it has not come back (yet)
