NEED Advice, I'm visiting the Dealer for Repair?
Ok, I did an AC check myself since I knew there was something wrong, as I suspected the condensor has a hole, most likely from a rock, i have an extended warranty and the AC condensor is covered, however they made it clear there only going to cover defects, not wear and tear, to which I replied than why have it listed on the warranty, there is no other way the condensor could ever cause problems, it's that simple of a piece.
So I'm bringing it in Monday morning, so they can run their diagnostics that will tell them what I already know. Question, HOW do I get around this wear and tear ****? Any adivce on what angle to use as reasoning that they should fix it anyways? Can I say they sold me it like that, does it matter if they did????? |
get some ac refrigerant dye and run it along the seam of the condensor. when they test for a leak theyre gonna see the dye around the seam thinking the seam is leaking=manufacturer defect

Any dealership will try to pressure test this first, and when they see a large amount of dye spraying out of the condensor like exhaust from a jet engine that will equate to you buying a condensor and/or paying for diagnosis time. |
