Hey all im new to the community and recently bought one of the beautiful car. I would like to chip the car and have done research however i can't seem to find one. Is there a specific performance chip out there thats best for this car?? If so which one? And if there is no specifics, what are a couple chip makes for the car? Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to Driver. For starters, thanks for at least asking in the right sub-forum (assuming your post wasn't moved here by a Mod, if it was then disregard this portion).

Now... I'll help you out this time, but in the future use the SEARCH bar up in the top middle of the page. These cars have been around 10 years now, there's a very good chance your questions have been answered. Since you're new, I'll throw you a bone this time.

Chips don't work for our cars. It's not a Honda. While the basics of an internal combustion engine are the same, the electronics are not, at all. There are reflashing programs that work, such as Osiris (made by a company called UpRev), but they won't do much for you if the car is bone stuck.

Nissan engineered these cars pretty well, in that they didn't leave much on the table. The reason chips work in other vehicles is because the car was tuned for MPG instead of power, or tuned conservatively for longevity. Nissan actually got most of what they could out of the components that came on the car stock. So in order to see gains, you need to change those components first, then tell the computer how to use them.

There's a thread around here somewhere about what are good first mods, browse around take a look. Nevermind, here it is: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-cou...pe-thread.html

Spoiler alert - it's not cheap to make these cars fast.

But seriously, OBsessed nailed it with that response. The majority of the G community go with the Osiris tune. Check out UpRev's website for more details and pricing!
