Car Won't Start, Key Problem?
 

My car cranks but it won't catch. I've gone over almost everything I can think of. Everything it connected properly, fluids are good, and all the fuses are good. My buddy who own's a shop came out to take a look and couldn't find anything. Also, the car didn't show any codes initially but after trying to start it a number of times, it showed a P0113 code. We cleared it and it didn't come back until we tried starting it more.

I've seen some threads about how our keys can lose their signature over time and causes the car to crank but not start. Problem is I only have 1 key so I can't test it that way. Does anyone know what our cars cut to prevent the engine from starting in this case? Any ways to try to start the engine without the key? Would hot wiring the car work?
