Dome Lights don't work = BCM problem??

... I already did a search on this but nothing was found to my specific situation... just want to make sure the dealer is doing the right thing.

The dome lights in my car, and the sun shade mirror lights do not turn on anymore. Even manually. I took it in assuming it was a bad fuse, they call me back saying they need to replace my Body Control Module, and that I'll have to bring in all my keys and remotes to have them reprogrammed once they replace the BCM.

Is this over kill?? All my keys/remotes still work and so does my trunk. I can't believe there isn't an easier fix to get my interior lights working again. Any thoughts?

BCM controls everything-------- necessary to have key codes changed..............the module will be returned to Nissan lab for diagnosis and indepth analysis..........as suppliers are now responsible for part of warranty cost.
